There’s got to be some technology that does this. No sploofs!

Currently i crack a window, put a small square fan in it, and blow my exhaust through the fan. I use a vaporizer which cuts down the smell a lot, but there is still a lingering odor the night of, and sometimes the following morning.

I would prefer no odor at all, immediately. Any help is appreciated.

There’s no way of avoiding it. Regular weed smokers think they don’t stink of it when they do, so you’re not going to get helpful advice from the smoking community. Smoke outside to avoid a lingering smell in your home. But your hair, skin, clothes (and breath if you’re slack on oral hygiene like most smokers) will still smell of weed. Stick to edibles if you don’t want to smell like a teenager.

Vaporizing, while not orderless, has significantly less scent that disapates much faster than traditional combustion

Impossible. The weed in your pocket reeks even before it is smoked. I can home once after a trip and I could immediately smell the weed in my drawer in the next room.

    Weed absolutely reeks. Period.

There are a few issues with edibles:

      1. Onset time
      2. Type of high is different (more body than head)
      3. Not everyone has the enzyme to process edibles
      4. Vapor taste is part of the experience

For 3, I thought weed just didn’t affect me too strongly as I am well aware of drugs affecting different people in different ways (if I have a coffee I can’t sleep until around 14 hours after), but if not everyone has the right enzyme? Is there a way to induce it or something as I don’t fancy putting shit that doesn’t belong into my lungs but also see the relaxing properties of weed could be nice

Cooking can be pretty darn dank. There was this time someone at my dorm tried to make ‘weed butter’, and the whole second floor smelled like weed. It was one of the strongest smells I’ve smelled in my life, even though I was far from the chefs.

I wonder if there are cooking methods that aren’t as dank…

Although, to be fair, eating an already-cooked edible will probably not smell. I guess this is what you mean, Calhoon2005.

When I vaporize, the smell doesn’t last very long. Not sure what kind of weed or vaporizer you use though.

I’ve never tried it, but I heard good things about Smoke Buddy

Using smoke buddy while vaping actually does help. Roommate that doesn’t smoke or vape says they never smell anything.

Can vouch for smoke buddies. Not a bad price and works better than a makeshift sploof. Not bulletproof but works well enough.

Short answer is you can’t. It’s not just the smoke you blow out of your mouth— just lighting up the j alone is gonna stink up your house, there’s no real way around it. Get yourself a dab pen (dry herb vapes aren’t as bad as a joint but still stink) or even better, stick to edibles.

EDIT: oh you said “sploof” so I glanced over it. Seems the term “spoof” (as in to fake) has been telephone’d by stoners over the last 20 years because I’ve never heard “sploof” in my life. Sounds like some Rick & Morty shit.

Original post: Build a spoof, homie.

Take a plastic coke bottle, poke holes in the bottom about 1/8” across, in each of the feet

Stuff that bitch fulla dryer sheets

    Blow your hits through it

Now it smells like you used fabreeze for bong water but at least it’s not blatant

There’s honestly no way to. It sticks to everything. Eventually you become noseblind to it, but if your goal is to hide the smell from others, there’s no option but to smoke outdoors, and even then it still sticks to your clothes, hair, etc.

Just stick with edibles. They’re healthier for you anyways.

Same here, they’re way more convenient than flower, imo. Often stronger, too. It’s just really nice being able to take a quick hit wherever I am without bothering people around me with the smell. And my landlord stays none the wiser.

I went from spending like $150/week on flower to spending that much in 2 months by switching to concentrates (and they are super cheap too; I went today with $100 and only spent half that getting the maximum I am allowed a day). A single cart can last me for a week. It doesn’t feel as social so it’s not something I share (especially after COVID) like flower, and a single hit can last way longer than a few bowls.

The lack of odor is just a nifty little bonus for me, since it doesn’t seem to matter where I live (every unit around me smokes weed lol). Actually been kinda missing the smell of the plant tho. I smell my neighbors coming out or on their balconies and I just want a good old fashion blunt again.

I have a “man cave” in my garage as it is too small for my car. Comfy chairs, 200Mb Internet, tablet, table, heater. Indoors never smells.

During it’s going to smell the whole time, unless you have super good ventilation. Even then it’ll smell but it at least won’t start seeping into other rooms you don’t want it. After that it’s just time. As long as you aren’t baking a place out weed smell won’t hold in fabrics and other items like cigarette smoke does so again it’s just time to air out.

Why no sploofs? College years was all about towel on the bottom of the door and a sploof. We didnt have windows that opened but got through it fine
