We were going to try swordfighting, but all my compiling is on hold.
explanation: https://explainxkcd.com/wiki/index.php/2961:_CrowdStrike
I love the callback to compiling
(Edit: it’s an old one: https://xkcd.com/303/ )Dude, fuck man, that takes me back all the way in highschool Computer Science class. Back when I ate up all the techbro propaganda.
That’s the downside of using Linux: you cannot use the global Windows meltdown as an excuse.
Ah, but we have partners/clients/collaborators/etc. that do use Windows, so unfortunately there’s nothing to be done.
Have you learned the new Samba dance?
I like doing as much work as possible on days like this, because there’s no bullshit distracting you. I’ve gotten 90% of the shit I was going to do from next Monday to Wednesday done today, because I didn’t have to stop what I was doing every 15 minutes to deal with random horseshit.
Nice! That’s awesome
I strive for such levela of organization and/or self-actualization. lol
You know, earlier this week I scheduled an appointment at my bank for today. First time I’ve needed to do anything at a bank in years. I always seem to have that kind of timing.
Just like when I picked a random day to go look at apartments around town and a plane lands on the highway causing a shit ton of traffic. Typical day didn’t have me going anywhere near that.
So what you’re saying is this is all your fault?
I’m saying my bank didn’t want to deal with me. I think they took it a bit too far.
I can’t remember the last time that xkcd was appropro in time.
My boss caught me banging his daughter today and I used that excuse.
Seven other men doesn’t qualify it as a crowd strike issue. Technically.
Oh come on (his boss’s daughter) that was funny.
