It’s horrifying how cats will play with bugs and torture them. I have cats, and they’re sadistic.
It amazes me when I see people with cats and hamsters. Because I just believe if they wanted to, that hamster would be in multiple pieces.
I’m so exhausted at people who answer like this.
It makes me feel crazy.
His daughter coming out and him calling it the “woke-mind virus” was peak meltdown for me.
Really shows how much control he wants.
Seeing him mentioned in 2010-2020 media as an enlightened soul who will bring Humanity to Space is so cringe now.
He’s in an episode of Rick and Morty. Granted, Rick makes jabs at Elon so it ages a bit better than most others.
It’s pretty normal for women to call out troublesome behavior from horrible people only for it to take a decade or two before anybody listens.
Epstein.
Harvey Weinstein.
Bill Cosby. (Granted Hannibal Buress made it soar)
I really pissed off a coworker with this line. Complains about 1.5 hour commute because of “all the assholes in rush hour”.
Thats hilarious and accurate to what I’ve been seeing elsewhere. Non-techies jump to windows 11, notice half their custom settings are gone and it’s harder to find their stuff, then get furious and want to get off of windows.
Keep it up Microsoft.
I worked there in 2017-2020.
You have a link to the details?
Legal threats are a dime a dozen and I can see what type of action was made that gave the record companies a win.
Id prefer if he faded to obscurity. I liked his music growing up, but fuck Ye.
How many 80s-2010s musicians do we still see in the news? When was the last time you heard about the band Sugar Ray?
Instead, I have to see this idiot pop into my feed at least once a week. The racist fuckface is also wandering around Tokyo making an album. I know about that because of these random stories on social media.
If Reddit implemented proper blocking, it wouldn’t be a problem.
The quantity of fuckheads who kept brigading from their cesspool into a regular subreddit was infuriating.
Which I think is fascinating. On Reddit, I’d get a post removed with a mail that says something extremely vague. Zero transparency.
And a lot of other situations with review bombing over the past decade.
I’d do a new registrar either way.
I’ve worked at hosting companies in the past. I don’t know the timeline, but I’ve never encountered a situation where one folded this fast and just take down a client’s site over a copyright claim.
And our clients, because of the nature of the internet being the internet, a small percentage were real scumbag folks, who while the content was objectionable and disgusting, it wasn’t illegal. Which means it stayed up.
If there was something highly illegal like csam or dark web stuff and it came from a federal agency, we’d take down the site immediately.
If it was a strong letter from a legal entity that we trusted, we would pass that to the client and recommend remediation. No takedown unless there was a court order.
If it was a weak letter from a random legal entity, we lol’ed and wait for the threat of a lawsuit/court order. This was surprisingly extremely common.
So wtf is this registrar doing to shit on their clients so fast without a court order?
The pi 500 looks amazing and I plan to order!
I was somewhat impressed with the specs of the raspberry pi 4. It was fast enough to run a desktop client for a bit. But it started suffering when I tried to code my regular programs on it. I turned it into a server and called it a day.
Where the raspberry Pi 5 is much beefier. And I was getting rid of my aging chromebook too.
No promises, but the monitor was built for low-powered devices. So it should work in theory.
I bought another portable monitor for $70 and that also worked. But so did a cheap $20 used LCD monitor.
At its price point, it’s very underwhelming.
I also did the math and I could get an average phone (used) every year for three years before I break even. And those average phones would be more powerful with each iteration.
Unless you’re bought into eco-friendly minimal waste messaging, it’s really hard to choose fairphone.
Here’s some BS. My phone’s battery replacement cost $220. ($100 for battery, and $120 to be serviced) That was the same price as buying a refurbished version of the upgrade.
I missed the days of just replacing the battery with a screwdriver.
There was a movie in the 2000s that pointed out how fucked up US healthcare is.
Very little changed.
Seattle is a mix of rich folks, tech folks, counterculture folks, and holier-than-thou folks. Sometimes, that’s just one dude.
