Personally i think making the roads naturally safer through physical traffic calming like lane narrowing would be a better option, but its a significantly more expensive option.

Seems like the exact oposite thing they should do. If they actually want drivers to slow down and obey the limit they can’t back down. A middle ground option could be offering each vehicle 1 freebie each time camera locations are changed, but regardless, if the camera ticketed you, you were speeding and were breaking the rules. They should be thankful its just an ASE ticket and not a ticket from a cop that comes with higher fines and insurance complications.

One could argue it is safe in reasonable moderation. CHS devlops due to extreme and excessive daily use of cannabis. Enjoying a joint every now and then is far safer than toking every 30 minutes.

If i ate 30 chocolate bars everyday for weeks on end, I’d have some serious health issues, but one every weekend would be nearly unnoticeable from a health perspective.

Flaring is much better than just letting the methane escape so it would be a better solution than doing nothing and would be a great stepping stone to a more permanent option. Flaring would be much cheaper than a methane generator or capture device.

I’d argue the sport influences the build more than the build influences the sport, with the exception to height. Athletes in the same sport have similar builds due to training in similar ways to use the same muscle groups. Cyclists have strong legs because they train to cycle, they didn’t wake up one day with massive legs telling them to be a cyclist.

See the thing is, this could be just about any road in any city in north america. We refuse to build real places, just lanes and parking lots

Your chart somewhat implys that infrastructure is strictly a federal issue when all 3 governmental levels play a role. Feds play a role in funding and transport across provincial borders, provinces play a role in funding for themselves and municipalities. Municipalities can decide how many lanes, specific speed limits, and transit development. Until very recently a municipality had all the power to build a bike lane themselves without provincial permission.

The way our cities are built are one of the biggest issues with our housing crisis. Increasing density is one of the best things we can do to build out of this crisis and for the most part, we don’t need anything from the feds to do it, funding would be nice but its certainly possible to start without it.

I think there is a big difference in the appeal of vapes to younger audiences when we account for the flavors. Tobacco and other boring flavors are great for quiting. An arrary of sweet and fruity flavors make people want to try more flavors and also vape more frequently because the brain is itching for that hit of sweetness as well as hits of nicotine.

Hopefully Doug Ford’s highway and highway tunnel don’t make the list but high speed rail does.

I think the current global mindset is fossil fuels won’t be used as much for fuel, but plastics are still booming. The next fossil fuel race will be who can make the most plastic. I can’t say that its better for the planet.

I find the night mode on my rear view does okay at reducing the high beams light, but my side mirrors become blindingly bright if they get hit at the right angle.
