2·21 days agoThat seems like too literal of a reading? Dune was very much about current events told through allegory, not a warning for the future.
Techne without episteme, that’s things like corporations, capitalism, technocratic government etc. They don’t run on computers inside humanoid robots, but they’re made out of rules to achieve a goal and reduce humans to tools to enact those rules. Close enough if you’re writing a story.

53·24 days agoI’d say there’s nothing inherently wrong with any of these. It’s the child trafficking and child molestation that’s the issue.
Kind of the opposite of forcing. Some people want it, I don’t agree with them, but better to not lose them to chrome.
But srsly Firefox nags me more about PWAs and tab groups than AI.

To a GPU, or even just the functions used in GenAI? We don’t even know if those are possible with analog computers to begin with.
