  • A) if you pay a wage only poor people will apply. Creating extreme bias.

    B) People with an interest or background in the criminal system will be extremely biased. Police officers will apply and always swing guilty to make their jobs easier. While professional criminals will apply and swing not guilty to help their “friends”.

    C) Having a single judge decide is the most biased. If a politician can be corrupt, why not a judge? We have judge only vertics in North America for child custody disputes. And they are an example of extreme bias towards the mother gaining custody.

The only way to avoid bias is picking multiple people who don’t want to be there and are blank slates for the lawyers to convince. That way you get an equal amount of bias for guilty and not guilty due to random chance.
