Also, why is the same lines repeated?
I assume it’s to hammer in the point. That’s usually why lines are repeated in literature and poems.

Yeah, that’s the one. And yes, an immutable OS would probably be best for people like Linus who are just curious enough to try out the CLI but not knowledgeable enough to know when he’s deleting his desktop environment.

I expect them not to focus on AR as the biggest usecase for it is for virtual monitor in a real life environment and not gaming. Maybe the give us a colour camera add-on, but I doubt it’ll be their focus from the get-go.
The Chinese government is a race?

Valve is still not making one that can do AR, so we’re still stuck with either Meta or Pico for that use case.

You’re right, I didn’t refute. Wrong word used there. i was asking for receipt, because saying .world is not a receipt. If I accused you of doing the same thing the guy accused these people of, would you accept if the only receipt I used is the fact that you’re a .world account?
I never said they didn’t do the thing they’re being accused of, I just have a better standard of proof than what server they started their Lemmy account in. Turns out you didn’t, so I am quite disappointed in you.
As was predicted. “One day, when it’s safe, when there’s no personal downside to calling a thing what it is, when it’s too late to hold anyone accountable, everyone will have always been against this.” - Omar El Akkad
But it’s not too late. The people who are responsible in your assertion are still alive and still doubling down on the genocide, so by what metric are you measuring the people here who are already acting against genocide before your prediction has come true? It doesn’t seem like you thought your logic through.

Obviously they meant the Steam Controller, not the Steam Controller.

So that’s where Israel learnt their war crimes from.

No. He went to significant lengths to circumvent the “non-techy” interface
Well, you’ve just proven that you didn’t watch the video. How about you watch the thing you want to criticise, that’s an idea.
He literally started with the Pop Shop and it errored out when installing Steam. The only reason he ended up in the command line is because Linux users readily offered that as a solution to any problem, despite all repeated claims that the average person never need to use one.
Basically, you’re mad that he used the command line despite the fact that he already tried not using it and the Linux community are the ones telling people to use it as a solution.
At the same time, you’re mad that the person you wanted to not use the command line because it’s too complicated for their skill level did not read a wall of text that they wouldn’t have understood anyway because of that limited skill level.
Basically, you’re acting like a Linux elitist despite the fact that you didn’t even bother getting the correct fact before implying someone is stupid. It’s irony all the way down and you don’t even have the self-awareness to realise you’re acting even worse than Linus when it comes to damaging Linux’s reputation amongst casual users.

Isn’t that what they tell Democrats to do every time?

I don’t understand why you’re getting down voted. Can one of the down voters at least explain why?

He’s doing it in the mindset of a non-techy person, and I can definitely see many people I know doing exactly that since a wall of text will fly over their heads every time. I can’t believe so many of you are still not getting this. It makes sense why it takes so long for Linux desktop to become mainstream when pointing things like this out will just get you pushback from the community instead of them using it as a learning opportunity about how normal consumers work.

Did you forget what the claim I refuted was? That it was the exact people seething about Clinton now are the same ones defending her unquestionably back then.
Is your assertion that the people who would party if the genocide runs to completion back then are the same ones seething at Hillary now for still supporting the genocide? Because that doesn’t make logical sense, does it?

That’s not an answer. Plenty of people on .world don’t support establishment democrats. Both you and the top commenter are .world accounts, after all.

How did you know? Do you have the receipts for your claim? It’s also possible that these people you’re referring to have gained more information that made them change their mind since then. So is it that you think they should’ve doubled down on their choice back then, instead?

A broke one.
These two are giving me cute aggression reaction.

Basically, traditional Linux allows you to mess around every part of it and even completely break it if you weren’t careful enough. This is really great and powerful for people that knows what they’re doing, but for 99% of users, the ability to change the underlying operating system is not really necessary.
The girl having 2 right arms in panel 3 is already a dead giveaway.
Mantises even eat their own partners. How safe do you think being friends with them will be?
