Who uses chrome? Still the majority of people lol. The number of people who care a lot about privacy enough to stop using chromium is a pretty small percentage.
Sure. Tbh I still use chromium, knowing that it may not be great in terms of privacy. I don’t really use Google Chrome, but I do use chromium browsers. Reason being, I just don’t give too much of a shit about my privacy. If it’ll be the ruin of me, so be it.
The issue with this line of thinking is that you just dont know how the information will be used against you. Maybe today you have nothing to hide, but that information is out there forever. Insurance carriers may refuse to fund your medical treatment because of some shit you said online, or a job may refuse to hire you. Or, if Im really putting on a tinfoil hat here, a radical government (or political faction in general) may use the information to target you. It may not even be accurate info, but the fact remains that info you leak online is stored and could be leveraged against you, your friends, or your family, at any point in the future.
Maybe itll never happen, but maybe it will. Its just better to try to keep your data private where you can. Apathy is definitely one way to live, but you should consider putting in even a little effort to just use a more secure browser. Its not really that hard lol
Who tf uses chrome? Its basically google spyware at this point. Just use FF and a few security plugins
