ETA: CMS has to know this. They also know single-payer if the wtg. But then corporate overlords would be cut out and politicians are having none of it. The same people who are claims processing now could work directly for CMS and I’m sure Medicare Administrative Contractors could still get plenty of federal contracts, although I’d prefer all claims processors work directly for the government.

UnitedHealthCare was the insurer and upper management should all be put against a wall. When the music stops and everyone comes out of their haze, no longer distracted by their phone, there will be a reckoning.

The article is paywalled as usually for WSJ and archive.is didn’t work, but I’m guessing since this is the WSJ, they’re spinning this into a reason to get rid of Medicare.
