    It’s an opinion. I don’t know the authors intention. 70% of Americans identify as Christian, according to the census.

      People of faith provenly work against democracy on the daily. It’s a joke. Not an opinion.

        I’m an atheist, so I don’t disagree with you. I abhor organized religion. But we need everyone who is anti-fascist to help. If we don’t work with them, despite differences, in the short term, we all lose in the long term.

          We don’t need their kind of help. It comes at a cost of rights and freedoms. Which is not good for democracy.

                  If we are doomed without Christianity’s help… we were doomed before any of this ever started. The religious right will NEVER vote against oppression.

                  And by the way- This is why op-editorials aren’t supposed to be taken as news.
