    Well maybe if their shitty algorithm didn’t only play the same 8 or 10 songs over and over people wouldn’t be getting tired of them

      It’s because the songs are cached on your device, and cached songs = less network traffic for Spotify = less costs = more money.

          Maybe it doesn’t take into account your actual cached songs, it’s just tuning the algo thia way results in reduces traffic.

          It could also be that they royalties on these songs are lower so they play them more often. Didn’t they get caught pushing AI generated music since it’s free for them to provide?

        Nah even if you clear the catch regularly it still doesn’t help much. There’s songs in my playlist I don’t think I’ve ever heard.

        Thos only happens to me when Spotify loses internet access, which is exceedingly rare.
