What’s particularly fascinating for me here is how (past the first example), all these are cases of current HC cartoonist Peter Gallagher doing a pretty dang genius impression of his uncles’ style, i.e. George Gately, i.e. the originator of the strip.

For some of these I’d be hard pressed to say if they were Gately or Gallagher. He really does a great job of capturing the same artist style. Apparently those years of apprenticeship really paid off.
Some of these also read exactly like modern ones. Like the flounder one.
Those lady cats definitely stand out as not Gallagher.
