My mind has been much more peaceful since I started to get rid of consumerism in my life, that I wish everyone could do and feel the same, but it’s one of the hardest things to convince people to, because the peace of mind only comes in the long term, but the extremely brief consumption satisfaction comes instantly. It’s like a drug in so many aspects.
Better also get the pro version with a brush, just in case you ever need to do a task that works better with the brush version. Does such a task even exist, you ask? Well, just imagine discovering that it indeed does 2 minutes before your local brushed tools shop closes (and it’s a 3 minute drive). Do you really want to be stuck waiting like a sucker for the to open the next day? And what if it burns down that night? And then WWIII breaks out before they get the renovations done… This might literally be the last chance you’ll ever have to avoid feeling like a sucker in that situation!
As silly as it may sound, my mid-step towards a non-consumerist mindset was pivoting my diet towards more fresh produce and going to the market more often. You can get all the “new season” veggies every second week, but if you buy too much you’ll have to throw out rotting veggies. Learning the balance takes a while and it’s a good exercise to only buy what you need.

Oh you have The Perfect Tool? That’s cute. The Perfect Tool 2.0 (brushless) is what the pros are using.
