Pretty much. She was in “The Left” party, which is quite, let’s say, nostalgic of the wonderful DDR past of some parts of Germany. Then a couple of years ago she formed her own party, literally named after her, that brought her to be the “veteran” as in “didn’t make the cut to the parliament”. She’s an embarrassment, no wonder Russian trolls spit out such interviews with her :)
She formed her own party because today’s “The Left” has now become an actual all-German leftist party and didn’t fit her Ostalgie vibe anymore.
