With a procedural trick, proponents in the EU Parliament are pushing for reactivation of indiscriminate scans of chat messages shortly before the summer break.

New update: The expedited procedure has been approved, and a subsequent vote on Chat Control 1.0 is scheduled for this Thursday.

    The EU Council is the prime minister (or other head of state) of every EU country. They don’t really need the EU to pass laws, it serves a purpose like the WEF for them where they discuss the laws without public input.
