Ancient Confucianism talked about the emotion of living in a family as ‘filial piety’. I argue in this article that neo-liberalism totally reject this sort of emotional connection–which opened the door for neo-fascists who offer a sense of community for alienated people. The result was Brexit and Donald Trump!
