As someone who generally supports the decriminalization and legalization of vices, the best argument I ever heard against full hard drug legalization was that it would open a corporate gold rush to develop the most addictive drugs possible.

Well, that’s basically what we have now with legalized gambling.

I’m not a gambler, but I supported gambling legalization, and now we have the corporate gold rush to gamify and create the most addictive possible forms of gambling ever known.

I’m not saying we should recrimalize it, but there needs to be serious reform, such as banning prediction market and prop bets.

I’d even be open to limiting what types of bets can be made online, such as only allowing parlays to be placed at an actual brick and mortar sportsbook location, or physical casino.

For real. I’m fine with legal gambling. We just need to regulate THE SHIT out of it. Similarly to how we regulate the sale of cigarettes.I’m sick of hearing my friends complain about loosing money 😭
