    I wonder if Americans actually believe healthcare in Europe is “free”. Like, everyone pays a monthly sum, and depending on the country a hefty one. 10000000% better than the american system, but nothing is free in life, except death.

    I think the major point in Europe is the price regulation of drugs and healthcare services. That’s what keeps things manageable.

      Most Americans know it’s all just tax money, but most dont know that the amount of healthcare taxes Americans pay (for medicare/medicaid that only cover the elderly, disabled, and poor) is actually greater than most countries pay for their whole system that covers everyone.

      Turns out you gain efficiency at scale, and preventative care is so much more affordable.
