I didn’t get defensive. I was suggesting that saying “Americans listen to him” is a pointless generalization. Okay, so Americans are the ones who pay the most attention to someone who is a government official in America. Okay. Plenty of uninformed, non-scientific people elsewhere too. So I don’t know what your point about that was.

RFK’s ideas are not very novel and there are many people who champion those lines of thoughts besides him. He is not influential.

I don’t know how we got to you defending him now, but I think that’s a sign that we jumped the shark with this conversation.

Wow calm down, no need to behave like a redditor. It’s just a comment thread.

Your comment certainly had a vibe of “yeah he says stupid stuff but nobody listens to him, it’s not that bad”.

          • Which is absolutely a defense for the guy
          • it doesn’t help is that it sounds like how an abused spouse defends their partner
          • it doesn’t help with either of those points that you go as far as making things up, as many Americans do indeed listen to him

Now, at the point where someone said that the other person failed at carrying the conversation, I do not know if there is anything to salvage, but here I go anyway.

That’s probably easiest for you, although I have doubts. Like being rich or smart, people who do that, well, they just do it instead of talking about how they are doing it. We’ll see
