The U.S. Army has used up much of its stockpile of highly accurate long-range missiles during its five-month war with Iran, according to three people familiar with the data, raising concerns about the military’s readiness for future conflicts.
The missiles are principally the Army’s surface-to-surface weapons, known as Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) and Precision Strike Missiles (PrSM). The U.S. has used “virtually all” of these weapons, according to two of the sources.
The degree to which the military is running out of ATACMS and Precision Strike Missiles has not been previously reported.
The long-range munitions are an important part the military’s arsenal, allowing accurate strikes from a safe distance. U.S.-supplied ATACMS have played a key role in the war in Ukraine, allowing Ukrainian forces to attack targets inside Russia. The PrSM is a newer, more advanced generation that will replace the ATACMS, which have a shorter range.
Which was not an accident since they were “precision missiles”
Third hand info, but I heard on a podcast a few months back that the building had been an irgc hideout… like 10 months prior. With the administration’s complete knob-gobbling of AI, and no assets on the ground to provide updated intel, it’s likely that the AI said “shoot that one”, no one bothered to check before pushing the button, and the fathers and brothers of 150 little girls became all the more radicalized against the US.
So I wrote that, then decided to do more research than the DOD did and double-check things.

It was an IRGC building adjacent to an IRGC compound… in 2016. (the podcaster misspoke and said months instead of years)

The school was near a base, a lot of the parents were officers. They tripple-tapped the school hoping to use dead children as bait to kill their parents.
