Heavenly Spices has issued a nationwide recall of its Garlic Powder after the product was found to be potentially contaminated with Bacillus cereus, a bacterium that can cause foodborne illness.
Generally don’t buy food from dollar stores, i think… nutso prices per unit.
I think it mostly appeals to the people who can’t get to a larger market, don’t have time, or can’t buy larfer quantity, i guess. The usual poverty traps.
We can’t eat garlic powder rn?
Yah news to me…ohh lovely
Heavenly Spices Garlic Powder Recalled Nationwide Over Bacillus cereus Contamination
Is it just that brand? Or does it get repackaged with a million different generic labels?
Cause I’ve never heard of that one but I don’t know if that means I’m safe…
Me neither. Quick internet search shows it limited to Canada stores…so not sure what the impact in the US is. Wonder if it is sold stateside as well.
The recall affects garlic powder sold in Dollarama stores across Canada and online
Oh huh, interesting. I wonder how it relates to the US health agency then, incompetent though they are…
Incompetent being the key word, they are likely “looking into it” and will issue an advisory in a couple weeks lol
Apparently a garlic powder sold in Canada

Avoid any US sourced food. It’s all contaminated with shit.
I would except I live here. So I avoid what I can
