In an exclusive interview with Meet the Press, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) indicated that he does not currently support Medicare for all legislation after co-sponsoring similar bills from 2013-2021.

Does a thing that would help the people have no chance of passing? They will proclaim their support for it.

When that same thing gains enough popularity in Congress to have a real chance of passing, they no longer support it.
