    Jesse Frederik, a smart Dutch journalist, has arguedthat locals greatly exaggerated the harmfulness of the earthquakes.

    I really appreciate the author making their bias this obvious.

      Fuck this dude. If I am local, I don’t give a shit how “harmful” it is. That isn’t the standard we’re operating at in society. I don’t want the ground shaking at all. Ever. Period. And your gas/oil company does not come before the collective will of the people living there.
