I know it’s a bit late, but i have this screenshot from a Mastodon post that is funny.
Ron Gilbert, what a legend. If you haven’t played Thimbleweed Park you’ve been missing out.
I didn’t know it was Tim Curry, but I’m pretty sure that his performance that I saw was in “Legend”. Then most likely IT.
I don’t didn’t I played enough Wing Commander III (also feat. Mark Hamill, John Davies Rhys and other known actors, absolutely stacked for its time) to have met the character that Tim Curry voiced there, but I for sure played enough Toonstruck to have heard his acting there! Also an amazing game which features Christopher Lloyd.Thimbleweed Park is good. I’m sure the sequel is going to be good, too.

Frankenstein: Through the Eyes of the Monster on CD-ROM
Vladikov from McHales Navy
Tim Curry and Alan Rickman never starred in the same film together, TIL
Mr. Hector (the concierge) in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York (1992)
This for me too, I had Home Alone 2 recorded off the TV on VHS as a kid.
I still think of him as having a giant grinch grin
I know him as Long John Silver in Muppet Treasure Island… What age does that make me?
“I’m going to the one place that hasn’t been corrupted by capitalism! SPACE!”
I just love when actors are clearly having a great time in their role. It makes me happy. RIP Tim Curry, truly we lost a good one.
Nigel Thornberry from The Wild Thornberrys
But more iconically from Rocky Horror.
That was one of my favorites, and I love Nigel so much. You blew my mind with this, I had absolutely no clue. He was ever present in our upbringing
I cannot think of the word smashing without thinking of his voice.
Til that was him
He absolutely made that show so awesome.
He was the oh so smarmily, charmingly, evil Cardinal Richelieu in the Three Musketeers for me.
He was having too much fun in that role.
I think this and The Hunt for Red October are my earliest memories of him. Muppet Treasure Island is probably my favorite though.
Clue.
I just watched it (for the thirtieth time) in his honor.
Such a great movie I fell in love with the movie and the Butler the first time I saw it, and is on the list of “will watch repeatedly”
For me, it was Hexxus in “Ferngully, the last Rainforest”.
Both him and Robin Williams gave amazing performances for an animated movie for kids.
To this day, whenever I stumble or trip and fall, I still catch myself saying “Gravity works”, or when I touch something disgusting, I’ll end up singing “Slime beneath me, ooh, slime up above!”
Toxic Love plays randomly in my head to this day. Right now it’s that and Jolene going back and forth which is an interesting contrast.
What. Happened. To. The. ENER-GY!?
It is such a quotable movie.
I primarily knew him from Muppet Treasure Island.
Yo same
IT. The 1990 TV movie.
Born in ‘77, first saw him in Legend as Satan Himself. Much creepier than Pennywise if you ask me. I actually didn’t see Rocky Horror until my teens in the early 90s, I’ve seen it dozens of times since then. It’s my favorite role of his by far, he had so much fun and had a wonderful stage presence in it.
I LOVED Legend growing up. I did not recognize him as Tim Curry though, until later in life.
