    This is the same Neo-Con rationalization that kept us in Afghanistan for 20 years.

    They admit that the was was waged poorly, but somehow staying the course is always the right move.

    Even if the US succeeds in collapsing the Revolutionary government, our position isn’t necessarily improved. A collapsed Iran could still threaten the straight. And the civil unrest could have consequences more impactful than Syria.

    I also want to point out the irony of Iran-hawks who think an Iranian revolution will solve all their problems.
