    it’s terrible yes, but still much better than facebook/instagram/tiktok/xitter/whatever. although they’re almost gone now they still do kinda have a working api, third party apps and old reddit…

      It was much better. I wouldn’t say it is anymore though. Fundamentally they’re different beasts: facebook/instagram/tiktok/x are focused on personal interactions while reddit is based on topical interests.

      I much prefer the less personal and more collaborative nature of a social platform like reddit than the personal nature of most popular social media, but unfortunately, when it comes to predatory business practices, reddit, instagram, facebook, x, tiktok, etc. are all the same shit now.
