People generally become more risk averse when they get older. Risk averse doesn’t line up with modern “conservatism” when they’re off starting another war every day. Saying “People get more conservative” lines up more with the Pinchot school of thought than the 2026 definition but works great as propaganda to say “You’re getting older, shouldn’t you be giving up those things like caring about your fellow man?”
