I don’t like the general idea of needing to hit certain “milestones” by a certain point in order to be considered “successful”. Live your life at your own pace.
It’s probably more trying to say some people want to (buy a house, have kids) but are forced into delaying because of outside environmental factors, (environment, capitalism).
Yeah but the real issue is its generally accepted that adults have a decade or 2 of real earning power during which they tend to buy homes and sometimes start families. Once a person ages out of that bracket it becomes real difficult to accomplish those things.
Also worth noting that employers will avoid hiring people over 45 years old because thats the age when health insurance companies feel a person becomes more of a risk than an asset to them.
