    Sloppers will go where there is money to be made. The only real solution is giving no place where their shit can be profitable. I’m not saying “might as well stay here”, I’m saying that your solution doesn’t solve anything.

    Suppose YT gets overrun with slop, people will migrate elsewhere, both content creators and viewers. Most CC will migrate where they can get the most viewership - which in turn helps them monetize it in some form. Wherever this is, I doubt it’ll offer the video hosting and streaming for free (video on demand requires fuckloads of storage and bandwidth), so someone has to foot the bill, likely the viewers by watching ads and being offered subscriptions. Once it’s possible to make money out of video content, guess who’ll show up?

    The only way to stop the slop is by making it unprofitable.
