    I wish I was allowed to wear one occasionally. They look so comfy and cool in summer to keep the harsh Australian sun off

        Where I live, I would either be harassed for “cultural appropriation”, or harassed for “looking like a terrorist” (people are pretty racist around here). Blasted by both sides; no thanks, I already get harassed enough as it is.

        Head and neck scarves are really good on your own property for yard work and stuff though. It does some magic thing that keeps you really cool. It’s like having a mini fan pointed at your face at all times.

          Damn, that’s unfortunate. Around me, I know non-Muslims who often wear head coverings at will, especially while working outside. I didn’t know it was such a huge deal in some places…
