You’re moving goalposts by pretending that Biden has to be a cartoon villain to not be a good person.

Again, I don’t find supporting a genocide to be something good people do.

Israel committing genocide is not the same thing as Biden supporting it, and conflating the two is completely dishonest.

You can rightly condemn what Netanyahu’s government is doing while recognizing that the Biden administration was stuck trying to manage an official ally, push aid corridors, and broker hostage deals to stop a wider war.

You want to see what actually supporting it looks like? Look at Trump telling Bibi to “finish the problem” and openly treating the annihilation and displacement of Palestinians like real estate development.

Lumping Biden, who was actively pushing for restraint and humanitarian corridors, in with an authoritarian who cheers on the slaughter is the exact lazy, cartoonish framing I was calling out.

Edit: To be clear, I am separating being a bad president from being a bad person. Biden was bad. Obama was mediocre, a big part of why being that he used weapons way too many times. But bad policies and failed presidencies don’t automatically make someone a cartoon villain.

I’m not conflating anything. I’ve said consistently that supporting a genocide . . . and let’s be specific, this means giving BILLIONS in arms to kill a people, while blocking action by the UN . . . .makes you not a good person.

who was actively pushing for restraint and humanitarian corridor

Bull. Fucking. Shit. You want to insult your own intelligence, go ahead. But this is obviously wrong, and shows you’re either lying or severely ignorant of even recent history.

Biden not only could turn off the flow of weapons (and UN vetos) at any time . . . he had a legal duty to do so. And chose not to. Harris supported him - and chose to continue support of Israel even knowing it would put Trump in power. She couldn’t even bother to lie about it, despite obvious pleas from the non-aligned caucuses to do even just that.

So congrats. You’re showing that Biden is as evil as Trump - but you’ll excuse one while condemning the other FOR THE SAME ACTS.

don’t automatically make someone a cartoon villain.

The only one talking about this nonsense is you.

There’s plenty of people that hate Trump not because he’s evil, but because he’s gauche and too stupid to do evil with the right lies. Looks like you’re one of them.

Flattening standard imperial realpolitik and open fascism into “they’re the exact same” is just lazy.

Trying to broker ceasefires and manage alliances within a horrific status quo is imperialist diplomacy. Telling Netanyahu to “finish the problem” and treating leveled cities like beachfront real estate is explicit fascism.

They might look identical to you from behind a keyboard, but to the people actually caught in the crossfire, the difference between diplomatic restraint and total escalation matters.

Reducing complex foreign policy to an edgy “both sides are equally evil” take doesn’t make you principled. Treating bad diplomacy and open bloodlust as the exact same thing isn’t an argument, it’s just deliberate ignorance.
