    That argument is on the same level as “seatbelts in cars are bad because they restrict my movement”,

    I don’t know enough about Javascript to speak about the actual argument itself, but unless at some point it became a life or death situation and people started dying because they didn’t use Typescript, then I’m going to say the argument likely is not on the same level.
