Now, it seems that American venues are not willing to play ball with the Seattle artist, and he has been dropped from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour.
“After discussions with stakeholders, Macklemore will not be performing on the remaining support dates,” according to Messina Touring Group, the promoter of Loop Tour. This news follows backlash from organizations like StopAntisemitism and others, such as pop star Pink.
How would you know that? Or are you just trying to wash Sheerans hands of the cost of this? You work for a marketing company by chance?
If you’re right then they factored in the cost of the backlash that would head toward Sheeran when more than half of all US voters sympathize with Palestine more than Israel, and 70% of Dems sympathize more with Palestine than israel. Once you start looking at younger people its even worse-- Israel has lost that entire next generation. Ed Sheerans listening demographic is primarily 13-27 year olds. So I hope the cost was worth it to Sheeran He’ll be getting less profits now.
