Maybe I try to host bad software, maybe I am just bad at computing but at this point I feel like I’m getting too old to constantly debug various issues. I just want certain things to work and I’m willing to pay the price for it 😮💨

Depends on what I’m hosting tbh. For most things I’m comfortable self hosting but after a brief spell of hosting my own email I gave that up and went to a paid service.
