It’s not the Canadian military they should be worried about. What they should be worried about is “In case of emergency: Grab SKS, go innawoods”.
Canada has a lot of innawoods, and a not inconsequential amount of SKS, and a lot of citizens vehemently opposed to certain orange pedophiles that they would probably find something useful to do innawoods even without an SKS.
I agree most wouldn’t care. Most wouldn’t have to. It doesn’t take that many active insurgents to make occupation absolutely hellish and unsustainable for the invader. The Viet Cong was only about 200,000 strong at its peak out of North Vietnam’s 20 million population, they beat the US pretty brutally. Yeah they had help from the rest of the population and from external forces… (but probably so would we!)
