So true. I remember when Biden made a speech in which he called out authoritarianism, and lots and lots of pearls were clutched about how it was his speech that had the authoritarian overtones. Much of it was from the unhinged right of course, but also reactionary centrists.
Imagine Obama saying something like this to a reporter. People would have lost their god damn minds.
