The port is excellent, btw. It runs very well, with just a few small, non-breaking bugs, and cool extra features like higher resolutions, unlocked frame rates, jumping to different loops in the game, VR mode, etc.

Edit: Never mind. This “person” is a Nazi. Fuck that. Also removed the bit about it being ported by a “human” because fascists are not human. They rejected their own humanity to become what they are.

Fascists aren’t human, I agree. But where are you getting that this person is a Nazi? I don’t know anything about them other than their work on the PT port.

Edit: I’ve seen some others claim that the dev is fascist-aligned in random livestream chats too, but no one is able to share sources there. Please share if you have a source on this. I would genuinely like to know.

Edit again: Never mind. I see that other commenters have provided screenshots from this “person’s” social media posts stating that they hate Jewish people. I’d say that’s pretty conclusive evidence that they’re a Nazi. Fuck that.

Don’t dehumanize Nazis. That’s literally that they do. It’s important to acknowledge they are human.

If you’re saying that it’s important to remember that no one is born fascist, and therefore anyone can become one if they choose to, then I agree.

However, fascists abandoned their humanity to become what they are. Just because they are incorrect to dehumanize others, that does not mean that we need to ignore that they dehumanized themselves. They can choose to re-humanize themselves at any time by adopting humanity into their ethics and politics.

It’s also important to remember that when we dehumanize them it gives them some added rhetorical ground. The ability to say “see I’m not a nazi, I’m just an ordinary person [to you], not some sort of subhuman monster”. They have surrendered their souls and are unwilling to try to claw them back, but it is worth keeping in mind the ways they’ll try to use our rhetoric to weasel their way into acceptability in orher people’s eyes

I think you’re already implying this and don’t wanna talk past you, but this was AI + human-in-loop as opposed to pure vibecode, not AI-free.

Doing this solo with zero AI would far more intractable (though not impossible).
