We rented an enormous house once when we had 6 kids living with us, and 2 more sometimes staying with us. 3,600 sq ft. Spacious as fuck even when 10 people were there. Unfortunately the landlord decided to sell it and kicked us out (apparently they can break a lease, we can’t), but perfect timing as most of the kids were off to college or work.
I can’t imagine twice as big would be better? At some point it’s just useless space. Our house now is about 1800 I think, and it feels big.
Oh I bet it would be great if they have a similar family dynamic to what I grew up with: loud, low emotional regulation, and not really wanting to spend too much time together
It was fun, there were always extra kids coming over and absolutely epic parties. We had just consolidated families so the kids were getting to know each other, they are close now and happy to have such a network of siblings. And yeah, several ADHD, but in such a big house there was room to hide out too.
It’s still not obscenely huge like some mansions are. That’s a time and a half the size of the biggest house in my neighborhood, and I don’t live in a huge city. It seems like a lot of bathrooms though for the size…
I think I must have lived in countries with much smaller homes on average. I can’t even imagine what a 650 square meter home looks like. It’s over six times larger than my home now.
Fucking hell. That’s nearly 650 square meters, larger than every home I’ve ever lived in combined.

That’s just his postroom house, the one he gets online orders sent to. So that they can’t mailbomb his real house

There must be so much room for activities
