Every line in the boot path is code we wrote. There is zero Apple code between power-on and Linux. The bootloader is ours, top to bottom. To our knowledge, no one has done this on an A13 device before.

The hardware was good for the time, and the UI/UX was a solid concept. However, it came way late to the party.

This 10,000 times. I thought the phone UI was novel and useful at the time but that never translated to the desktop or even a touch screen.
