AI for coding in the right hands can be good. AI is not universally bad; its slop when its used lazily by people who can’t do quality code. Just as much of what is produced in images, videos, writing etc is also slop when people just use it lazily. It can help people produce quality output if those people have skill and engage properly with the tools.

Sadly as we see across the world, skilled use of AI tools is a tiny minority of use.
