I tried buying a box of borax for some ant control, but accidentally ordered a case. So I toss some in to every load or laundry these days and it’s really helped my results. I swear colors are brighter and the scent is fresher.
I have fleas. https://www.snand.org/

I don’t know man, I’m a fairly old person and I’m constantly surrounded by people who seem unable to think without it.
What drives me up a fucking wall these days is how people will use AI to make a more “professional” message, then due to it’s verbosity it needs an AI to summarize on the receiving end.

Yet more evidence for my “never trust a self described libertarian” stance. Hasn’t failed me yet.

We are not facing skynet, but the techbros, media and government all want us to think so.
They did not “escape”, they were able to find security holes in poorly protected environments that they had access to. They performed the same security tests against live sites online, which also had security flaws. They did not spread, or escape, nor are they hiding on servers anywhere like in the movies. They simply performed a remote exploit after using a local one to get internet access.
These things are dangerous, but as a weapon in people’s hands. They still have off buttons, we still have all the control. But the narrative makes it feel like an inevitability, we’ve all watched too much sci-fi and aren’t using critical thinking skills.

Omg, I saw that episode when it was first broadcast. My buddy and I laughed so goddamned hard at that scene. Upvote for you!

Oh, agreed. They got to him, he rolled over. Instantly, once they gave him a taste of the Epstein class lifestyle.
I clicked on it by accident, almost hit back immediately but thought I’d give it a chance. Glad I did, legit funny.

Surprise!
I happen to still be logged in. Usually it takes a while :)

Because they have invested heavily into automation. A couple years ago the ford ceo went over there and came back terrified. He didn’t think it here was any way that american companies had a chance of competing.

lol, in an even smaller nutshell :)

I’m convinced this is deliberate. We are not facing a skynet situation, AI is not going rogue. This is shitty security during user initiated testing that they did not fully understand.
They want us to think that AGI is around the corner and so publicizing these hacks is doing that work in the uninformed public’s mind. I’ve had to explain to several people the reality of these attacks, but even now, watching the news, they are trying to scare us with made up stories of out of control AI.

I agree with your passion and thought process. In a nutshell, Reddit was the shit, until venture capital got them…
I just learned about the nightclub like takeover of bowling in the US. No wonder it cost me so much last time I took the kids. Venture capital ruins everything it touches.
Yeah, I see so much sandblasted brick these days from removing paint. I mean, it does look better than paint, but it’s so worn looking. Painting bricks is just a horrible idea.
You may be right, I’ve been pretty much a hermit since Covid. I haven’t been to a bar in like 6 years, that’s where I’d normally see it. The car I bought last year had it on in the lobby though…
Yes, but it’s the default channel in every car dealership and small business in this country. The party and people obsessed with things being shoved down their throats are awfully fond of shoving their shit down ours.

I mean, can always rip them to flak as well if you are worried about quality. Even still, a good high bitrate mp3 sounds perfect to me so I still use it too.
Working on reorganizing my old music collection to try to de-apple. It’s a bigger pain in the ass than I expected, and I’m missing so much that I’ve added via subscription. Gotta do it though, I’m sick of paying subscriptions for everything.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love 3rd party representation, but the way it works right now in this country, they don’t stand a chance. They exist today as spoilers, I mean, how effective is Jill stein for anything outside of an election?
What I’d like to do, is get dems in place, then pressure the shit out of theme through the primary process, through town halls, through letter writing, and all the ways we can manifest our power. Pressure them to get ranked choice voting, then we can start focusing on third parties. There is NO republican support for this, there are several Democrats who do (Mpls uses it now).

The problem is that in this country there is no automatically issued national id. To get one costs money and takes time, something the demographic they are trying to prevent voting does not have in abundance.
Also, elections are run by the states in this country, and most do already require a proof. My state requires a utility bill, or ID, or something that proves you live at the address, which are tied to voter roles. So the ID thing is a red herring mostly, and non-citizen voters are usually limited to tiny fractions of percentages if any. It is not an actual problem, just a useful one.
I have literally never felt the impact of slower RAM speed and I’ve been building PC’s for 30+ years. In every case, adding more was a boost, even if it wasn’t “needed”. Memory timings make a tiny difference to FPS in a game, or might slightly slow down rendering by a tiny fraction, but the increased performance of reduced swapping and other improvements it brings will definitely help out.
Stick with 16.
