That’s certainly an interesting take. I loved the first game but DS2 blows it out of the water. It’s pretty much a direct improvement in almost every way in my opinion. The only downgrade I think is the difficulty, but death stranding 1 had abysmal combat so I can easily forgive the game becoming easier while also becoming more fun.
Animals are one group or “kingdom” of life. Plants (such as trees) and fungi (such as mushrooms) each have their own kingdoms, and so do bacteria and a few other forms of life. They’re organized this way to represent how closely related they are. Every single living thing in the animal kingdom is more closely related to every single other thing in the animal kingdom than to anything in any other kingdom.
As an example, chimpanzees, starfish, and earthworms are more closely related to each other than to a sunflower, so we call chimpanzees, starfish, and earthworms animals but not sunflowers. This is called “taxonomy” and there’s a ton of different levels of how related things are, ranging from very distantly related to so closely related you can barely tell them apart. Kingdom isn’t even the most broad!
You might have also heard that fungi are more closely related to animals than to plants, but that doesn’t mean that fungi are animals, just that the lifeform that branched into fungi and animals did so a lot later than the one that branched into plants. In the end they’re still distinct enough that we call them different kingdoms!
Oh dang, the tested video made it sound like they were making it. Good to know, and honestly even better that they’re supporting a preexisting project!
Even better: they’re developing a new translation layer in the style of proton for x86 to ARM called FEX, so theoretically most x86 games will run on the frame. Naturally it’s also compatible with proton so you can go windows game -> x86 linux -> ARM Linux. We’ll have to see how that runs but it’s certainly exciting to think about.
Many times, but the one that got me more than any other game really surprised me: Insomniac’s Spiderman 2. Specifically the pidgeon side quest. I don’t think I’ve ever had another experience where I actually had to put the controller down for 5 minutes to stop sobbing. it was just… so beautiful but so heartbreaking…
It’s not even the saddest scene in any video game I’ve played, but I think something about swinging around, beating up bad guys, and then suddenly getting hit with this deeply personal and very real scene broke me. I strongly recommend this game if you have a ps5.

Used to be I never cried at anything. Ever. Then I started watching the saddest shows I could find specifically for the purpose of making me cry because I figured that wasn’t healthy. Now I’m a total crybaby and I gotta admit, I’m happier for it.
I used to be a massive weeb so most of my sad moments are from anime, but if you really want to bawl your eyes out, Violet Evergarden and A Silent Voice are my two go to picks for when I want to absolutely destroy myself.

I’ve had a nebula subscription for a couple years, and honestly I don’t think the lifetime subscription is worth it. If you can find a deal on a year plan it’s crazy cheap, and I don’t think nebula is big enough to be certain it’ll still be relevant by the time a lifetime plan would pay itself off. Maybe if it got more popular, but its place as a more specialized type of video platform, and especially a subscription based one, makes me a bit doubtful that it’ll grow significantly any time soon.
When programming, data is stored in variables. In a weakly typed language you define a variable and you can put anything in it. Numbers, text, whatever. In a strongly typed language when you define a variable you also have to define what it can take. If you define a variable that can hold numbers, it can only hold numbers and never text or anything else.
Weak typing makes code easier to write and more flexible while strong typing makes code more secure and harder to accidentally break. It’s mostly a preference thing in the end.

R is a statistics focused programming language which sees wide use in the field of data science.
