I have a question, though. There often is a huge difference how a leader is perceived nationally vs. internationally. Afaik, Macron is relatively highly regarded in Europe but many French people have their issues with him. So, what do the Romanian people think of him? I’d be glad to hear from some!

Don’t really get why we have an argument here. It would be way more ergonomic to just use mobile data instead of having to

• take your phone
• turn hotspot on
• bring your charging cable (and don’t forget it)

If you’re in a train, for example, space is sparse so now you’d additionally need to put your phone somewhere.

I do, too, but it is quite taxing on the battery, which sucks.

I at least don’t know about a VPN provider offering this which is at the same time trustworthy. Instead, they could kind of DIY it by using for example tailscale. Tailscale would allow for using a device as an exit gate. They’d need a device at a friend’s home that is online when they need it but that’s it. An old phone or a cheap raspberry pi would suffice. Wouldn’t even cost a penny (except for the exit gate device)

Firstly, sandboxing is a part of layers of layers of security mechanisms. You cannot tell the overall security by just looking on it. In recent years, a lot has changed in Firefox’ sandbox. I don’t know if it cached up, but I’d guess it has become quite a good sandbox by now.

What is more important for me, however, is the discrepancy in zero days. Chromium just had more in the past. That may be due to the gap on market share and therefore interest of “hackers” but it shows that you can’t just claim that Firefox “sucks ass” and Chromium is safer.

I think there is just a lot of opinion in the internet regarding this topic while not a lot of information.

E: my intention was not to attack you. Security is a complex topic. I just couldn’t verify your claim that Chromium would be “undoubtedly” better.
