I still can’t believe they’ve managed to make not getting sick a political stance.

No. A nation that allows slavery doesn’t practice human rights. For human rights to exist they have to apply to everyone, which can’t work if some people are considered property.
No amount of gotchas, or arguing semantics is going to make slavery okay, and the way you’re replying to peoples answers makes me think you fundamentally don’t understand the question.
I threw out my shoulder trying on shirts at the store the other day…
“Democratic capitalism” is an oxymoron, as without an incredibly large number of regulations, capital will replace democracy as the primary decision maker, by design.
Paramount doesn’t even want Prodigy on their own streaming service, I have no idea what they’re doing with the franchise…
Not a software developer, I just do QA on written documents, and being able to have 3-4 windows side by side is really nice. I usually have 1-2 tracking spreadsheets open on the left, and two documents side by side on the right. I use a laptop at work as well, so sometimes I’ll leave it’s screen on for email and Teams chat so neither interrupts my work.
Not OP, but my most recent car is a 2016 Hyundai Accent, and I think it’s perfect. The doors and ignition operate with physical keys, the displays are all physical indicators directly behind the wheel, all the controls have tactile, physical buttons instead of a touchscreen, no infotainment system, and no subscription options.
I don’t think I’d ever want a car more “smart” than that, but I’m not sure such a thing even exists anymore.
Kelvinverse was different from the Prime timeline before the Narada arrived because people past that point might not travel backwards in time the same way they would have without intervention.
“Hey gang!”
Since Musk bought Twitter I’ve been more active on Tumblr and as long as you don’t go anywhere that takes itself too seriously, it’s actually refreshing and lovely.
Similarly, when I signed up for Bluesky I decided I’d only follow people I know IRL and artists, and to not be afraid to use the mute or block, and it’s been great. Just a steady stream of art and people discussing art.
I’ve also got Mastodon, Pillowfort, and Cohost accounts I never really use.
Yep! One of the worst burns I’ve ever gotten too. The potato sticks to you like glue and doesn’t come off right away.
Really sucks.
Season 3 worked because of the ensemble cast, though. The first two where it was “Picard and Friends” felt weird, and not like what anyone really wanted, and if this is another “Just Picard” thing it’s likely to end up the same.
She doesn’t like Star Wars because it’s too woke, which is why she’s a Trekkie instead. Implying that Star Trek isn’t woke. Which is ridiculous.
Yeah. Getting out of physical media now, as every streaming service is hitting peak enshittification, is such a wild choice for Best Buy to be making, it has to have been handed to them by people trying to keep people on streaming. Now is the time to be making a killing in physical media.
Who enforces them though? The Supreme Court has shown that it doesn’t believe in conflicts of interest or recusing from cases, and all he needs to do is contest the rulings until they land on his desk.
I’d been hearing talk of Lemmy as a potential Reddit alternative around the third party app debacle, but nobody seemed to be taking it terribly seriously until I saw the Star Trek subreddits open startrek.website for themselves.
That got me interested. It was the first instance I can remember of one of the bigger communities I followed just up and moving like that, and it made the whole thing feel more real.
Keep looking. You’ll get it eventually.
Oh my god, we get it, you’re exhausting.
No, I’m not providing proof of this exhaustion. Do your own research.
I try to be, but don’t always hit the mark.
