I think you’re giving them way too much credit

Someone below said they charge Kansas taxes
It definitely feels like “neurotypical,” at the very least, isn’t the extreme majority it’s made out to be
I was thinking the same thing, like, “Only because we aren’t traveling the stars yet.”
Are there not clients that have a Hot feed? I’ve never used anything Twitter adjacent, but on Lemmy, functionality like that seems to vary between apps. Personally though, I’d never use something that doesn’t allow sorting by New. I prefer to keep up with the communities I’m involved in rather than just seeing a bunch of clickbait
Until they sent Worf and Dax to Risa, which went great! Lol
Now that’s boldly going
Don’t underestimate the power of executives to make really dumb choices. My company decided we’d create our own ticketing system this year, and now my Firefox tab consumes multiple gigabytes of ram…
I prefer Trip and Malcolm
So Larian is calling attention to predatory employment practices, as they have done before, and this time they’re doing it by comparing the situation to predatory sales practices, and criticizing them in the comparison
I was recently in college for IT, and my professors said a couple of times that it’s best practice just to assume that all of your info has already been stolen
…the difference was determined to be insignificant…
These findings suggest that being elected the President of the United States may be a viable strategy for mitigating cognitive decline among older adults.
That feels like a bit of a jump
Shut up, Wesley
You have a big paper due on Monday? Don’t smoke until it’s done, because you won’t get more creative, you’ll just not do it.
I actually love writing while high. Everything flows so much more easily for me, and I make connections I might not otherwise. It’s great when I’m having trouble just getting words on the page. It does usually require an extra passover in editing though lol
And the telepathic pitcher plant!
Yeah, that’s true. Could be that only senior officers can program recipes, or maybe the Cerritos has special rules. They were under heightened security after the Pakled attacks, and also, considering the Buffer Time episode, Captain Freeman is definitely the kind of captain that would make rules about that. And the Cerritos seems like the kind of crew that would need them lol
They can probably upload all their own recipes from a Padd anywhere they go
This isn’t how replicators work at all. We know they have tons of different versions of individual recipes, and that you can program your own recipe if you want something custom. The way the shows discuss replicated food, it seems like it just straight up doesn’t taste as good, but probably only very slightly, to the point you can’t really tell the difference if you’ve mostly eaten replicated food your whole life
There could be hundreds of versions of each individual dish.
Not just could be. We know there are. In the first episode or two episode of Voyager, Tom tries to order tomato soup from the replicator, and it asks him a ton of questions because there are like a hundred different versions of tomato soup, including Bolian style, meaning not only are recipes kept modern, they even include alien takes on other species’ meals! I wonder if Klingon replicators can make Rhaktajino DS9 style
My coax was all purged the first time I moved into a house with fiber. Good riddance
