I just compressed all my images, thinking lemm.ee would outlive all the image hosts.

I sorted by top of all time on my profile, uploaded the images to another site, and hotlinked them in the post.

For any people in the future.

Not most, they do keep tiny thumbnails though.

Servers can:

• Proxy images
• Save them locally
• just link to them.

Most do the latter as its cheaper.

Mastodon purges them after a while though.
