Why do you need to use a Google app to use NFC payment? Why isn’t there an F-Droid app for that?

I stopped two years ago, for ethical reasons though.

You shouldn’t have to pay for something which there is no scarcity of. A haircut takes time and effort, so you should pay for it. Food is not unlimited, so you should pay for it. Software can be duplicated an unlimited number of times, so you should not have to pay for it. That’s just giving people passive income.

Language is constantly evolving. Deal with it.

It’s weird that America still discriminates against its citizens based on the country of their birth, something they can’t control.

They can tell them to cut it out, but they can’t tell them to cut it out in the name of the law, which they would be doing if they were dressed as a police officer at the time and didn’t specifically clarify.

That’s why I clarified that the definition of any word, including the word fact, is subjective.

I don’t think something you need to survive can be called being taken ‘recreationally’.

But the opposite is not true! At least, not with the naked eye.

Facts are just objective statements, which can be either true or false, but whichever they are it is objective and not dependant on the observer.

I mean, it’s a semantic argument, and semantics is subjective, but that’s probably how the people who say ‘true fact’ are defining fact.

I hope you consider an open news alternative, or even a closed one slightly less bad than Apple. Good for you for not using Reddit though.

I don’t think you are an idiot, just the same as the other millions of people who were taken in by Apple’s ‘privacy’ and ‘simplicity’, while not realising the price gouging, right to repair smashing, closed source, keeping everything ensnared its ecosystem that it really is.

You can’t do that, the fediverse and Lemmy software doesn’t work that way.

Even if what you’re saying is true, and nowhere exists on Earth where there is a high quality of life, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t aim to get there.

Thankfully, that isn’t true, and Android is still more open than Apple, even with everything Google’s been doing.
