3·3 days agoI really love all the characters, the writing is fantastic and really well-paced. After the first book I bought the rest of the series, I’m on #3 now!
I’m ripping through the dune audiobooks and they’re pretty great. Reading the thursday murder club, its some good fun!
I owe my thesis to scihub lol. I can’t stand publishing companies, especially elsevier.
81·5 days agoI have this problem with a bunch of new hires. I’ll show them another way to do something and they’ll ask, oh where was that written down? I said Just think about what I just did and how it makes sense, its not written down this is a neat trick i’m showing you. I swear there is no creativity or critical thinking anymore, just a bunch of automatons that follow protocol to the letter and the second there is a situation outside those very narrow parameters they just implode. Someone had to figure all of this out at one point and make the protocol in the first place, sometimes there is no step by step guide and you need to exercise judgement and make some decisions on your own.

1·13 days agoOne thing i’ll say about sekiro is that it demands you learn “the dance”. You need to play the game on its terms and learn the rhythms, essentially you just need to “git gud” but it is absolutely worth it once it clicks. Its an incredible game once you finally get a feel for it.

9·13 days agoWell sometimes its nice to rip the carpet out and try hardwood flooring.
I’ve used it a few times to quickly check some reference values, calculations and symptoms (research/physiology) and most of the time its fine but occasionally it spits out some of the craziest shit i’ve ever seen, like dangerously wrong but its just as confident.
