AFAIK, Reddit has a bunch of Chinese investors. Maybe they care?

4·8 months agoThis is how Google solves it. Would be nice to have that integration between mail and drive.

5·8 months agoI’m in a similar boat. I always disable this feature.
But I’m also pretty good at avoiding junk mail or unsubscribing from newsletters. So I guess I’m not the target user for such a feature.

Technology@lemmy.world•I've tried nearly every browser out there and these are my top 6 (none are Chrome)English
81·9 months agoYeah I was surprised as well, but apparently they’re working in a new browser.

It’s an interesting approach where you can take all the learnings from the first product and then put it into a follow-up product.
I hope they’re continuing the ARC direction, just not based on Chromium. But I’m afraid they’re going all in on some sort of AI browser…

62·9 months agoArc is very nice for my workflow, quite a different take on what a browser can be. But I’d say you’re not missing out too much as it’s, unfortunately, no longer in active development.
They still update chromium regularly, but they’re no longer working on functionality or bug fixes because it’s “done” or something. 🤷♂️
Sorry but I can’t read past that intro. Don’t doubt there’s a bunch of propaganda out there, but this is don’t tell me Israel is the victim here. Their propaganda machine has been running full steam for decades.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why do most people stay in centralized social media platforms when the Fediverse exists?English
7·9 months ago100%. Lemmy just happens to have the communities I’m interested in.
I remember trying to move to Mastodon years ago. But the main topics in my feed were furries, transgenders and activists.
Not hating on any of those, but it just wasn’t what I was interested in at the time, so I quit the whole microblogging thing altogether and spent more time on Reddit.

11·9 months agoGet a custom domain so that your new email address isn’t tied to Proton. If Proton goes to shit it will be much easier to just take [email protected] with you to your new email provider. I wish I had done this with Gmail so that it would’ve been easier to move to Proton.

Love your work btw. Very pretty and intuitive app ❤️.
Thanks! Will have a look.
Great suggestions, thanks so much! Had no idea that Generate.fm is open source. And Blanket is new to me, but seems to do exactly what I’m looking for.

I use it daily to replace meetings and work with people in different time zones. Allows me to record my screen while I present whatever it is I need to share.
