I don’t like this flavor of dystopia.
I don’t like this flavor of dystopia.
This. I’m American and sick of knowing what that means.
You’re applying male insecurities to women. I bet you don’t even see the issue here.
Kind you do you too, bub.
I don’t think this one should be as controversial as it is.
Valid take. The military industrial complex is a terrifying ordeal.
Did you choose to overlook my intentional usage of the word “chosen” just to mansplain something obvious? I did not make my choice out of ignorance, but I appreciate you assuming I did.
This is always how I’ve chosen to interpret the expression. It’s not a theory. It’s an observation.
I would be one of you if they didn’t purge my accounts years ago. The trust will never return.
I’m in the US, and I saw the setting. Unsurprisingly.
I see. There’s the disconnect. You offered both an anecdote and an objective statement. You called the comic inaccurate, as well as stating what happens as though it’s a universal experience. And then you offered an anecdote. The response was geared towards your first couple remarks, not the anecdote. They were snarky about it, but the sentiment is true. You were speaking for everyone, not just yourself. Your retort doesn’t make much sense because they weren’t doing the same thing.
Genuinely curious. What do you mean by this?
A conservative with compassion and sense is always a welcome sight. This is a pretty obvious solution imo, but the powers that be seem to disagree.
I don’t think you’re wrong. I do think a good movie would be more profitable than a bad one. I wouldn’t show my kid this movie out of principle, because I happen to be of a generation that cares about this franchise. I wouldn’t buy any merch, toys, or clothes either. I’m sure some would, but I feel strongly that this movie won’t generate the profits they want, and it’ll be specifically because they made something terrible.
Players aged 15 to 21 make up the largest group of Minecraft’s player base at 43%.
The remaining 21% consists of players between 22 to 30 years old, and 20.59% are users aged 61 to 80.
You might be thinking of demographics from like 10 years ago, but those kids grew up dude. Kids are not the primary demographic.
Does Lemmy not like Linux all of a sudden…?
Loud and stupid are affectionate descriptors from my friends. I also struggle with volume after being too quiet for my early years and overcompensating in the later ones.
I still have people to love and things to appreciate. I know that civilization is pretty fucked right now, and I can’t say for sure there’s an other side to this tunnel we’re barreling down, but that makes it all the more imperative that I don’t take the good for granted. Despair and happiness are choices.
